Acoustic Wood
Acoustic Wooden Panel
Perforated MDF or HDF board with a fleece backing
Overview
Acoustic Wooden Panel
A solid timber-faced board perforated on a regular grid, with acoustic fleece bonded behind, reaching an NRC of up to 0.9. It looks like joinery and performs like an absorber.
Where slats are too informal or too open for the interior, a perforated board gives the same warmth with a near-solid face. The perforation grid can be fine enough to read as texture from two metres away.
Supplied in 2400 × 1200 mm sheets at 8, 10 or 12 mm, so it sits flush with most joinery thicknesses and can be matched to the finish schedule rather than standing proud of it.
Fire properties comply with UL94, which is usually the line item that decides whether a timber-faced panel can be used in a public assembly space at all — check it against your local authority requirement early.
